AP French Summer Assignment

• Read a fun little book titled Le Petit Nicolas by Sempe / Goscinny. Publisher: Folio Junior. You should be able to find it, or order it at Barnes and Nobles.
  
  

• Write in French a summary of 10 chapters of your choice to show that you fully understood the content of each episode of Nicolas’ life. Send these summaries by email before August 1st at the following address:  maryvonnem4@gmail.com   
                

• Write a journal in French every other week during the months of June, July, and one entry in August, or a total of five entries. Share what you did, where you went, which movie you saw, which book you read, your thoughts about a particular event… (each entry should be two pages long, double-spaced).

I will collect your journal on the first day of school, “le jour de la rentree”.

Make sure to include advanced grammatical structures, such the constructions with “après + verb, en + present participle, si-clauses, subjunctive.

Do not forget to take advantage of the summer to watch movies, to make use of the internet to listen to and read about interesting current events.
