Les Vitraux (Windowpanes) is the school's literary magazine, showcasing the poetry, prose,
artwork and photography of Sion students. Any and all Sion students are encouraged to submit their work for
publication.
Membership: Students interested in working on Les Vitraux may sign up for a
Les Vitraux publications class during 2nd semester, which will earn one semester of
practical art/computer credit. In class, they will complete tutorials using the
computer program Adobe InDesign and learn to use the scanner to create digital images of original works.
They will produce the actual magazine, completing their work by spring break.
After spring break, they will complete various projects as assigned by Ms. Middleton.
Students who are not enrolled in the class may still participate in the production of the magazine,
completing their assigned pages after school. Students who would like to be involved on an
after-school basis should be available to spend time after school (one to one and a half hours at a time)
to complete their layouts.
