SADD is part of the national movement to develop awareness of alcohol abuse and
educate people about the dangers of drinking. The movement has since expanded its vision to
include the education of students to make intelligent, informed and responsible social choices.
Membership: The organization is open to all students. Members and their parents agree to
sign a "Contract For Life" document, and action plan which serves a promise and commitment of "non-judgmental"
support to help friends and family stay alive.
Activities: Students plan and develop and coordinate school wide activities directed toward the goals of the
organization. Club activities have included making 16th birthday cards with a SADD message, "Dead Day", speakers, l
ocker messages with drunk driving statistics, poster making sessions, and other activities with the
SADD awareness message.
